Pat Vincent was a friend, a student, and a fine athlete in basketball and baseball when I taught and coached in Canton. He always did his best and would greet you with a smile and a firm handshake.
Pat and Coach Harry Garrity were good friends. Pat and Larry Durkin would talk to me about sports, especially the Boston Red Sox. He was a real student of the game and always brought insight to any conversations about game strategies.
In my fifty years in Education, I found Pat Vincent to be a fine gentleman who was a privilege to know. He loved to share his life adventures with me and tell me how Larry was doing in Massachusetts.
Goodbye good friend. I am sure you will be playing baseball and hitting fourth in the doubleheader in Heaven today.
